Holiday reviews for Johannesburg

I travelled to various areas of northern South Africa on a 10 day holiday. We hired a car and planned our own itinerary. I went with my family, my Dad was the tour guide as he had spent time working in South Africa in the late seventies. Although we visited lots of places, I've written about the main points of interest.

Johannesburg & Pretoria
We flew into Johannesburg and spent the first night in a comfortable but large businessman type hotel in Pretoria.

I felt that neither Johannesburg nor Pretoria had much to offer in the way of culture, and the bad reputation of violence and crime in these areas urges caution whilst out and about.
