Holiday reviews for Zanzibar

Supposed to be a 5 star honeymoon resort with 5 restaurants only had one. Regularly ran out of food all buffet meals all outside regardless of weather. No all inclusive sports as advertised. Rooms sub-standard dirty and smelly. 3 days to fix broken fridge. Downgraded as all upgraded rooms that we had booked were full (although the italian rep had a sea-view room.); Hotel and travel company refused to move us to alternate accomodation. Travel company refused to respond to our e-mails/calls. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT ON HONEYMOON. (this is personal opinion); Pool and beach were nice. All-Inclusive package was a complete waste of money.

Expensive but quite nice place. A bit weird when you are in the hotel complex as you are a bit cut off from the outside world. There isn't really anywhere to go unless you go on an organised tour - the hotels are in remote places.

Kids play football on the beach and people cycle up and down the beach all day, so it's not the very nicest place for sunbathing. The pool's quite nice, though.
