After the long flight to Male, there is another shorter one to get to Kuramathi tourist Island, this time by sea - plane (you could go by speedboat, but the sea - plane is an experience not to be missed!);
Arrival on Kuramathi is just what you expect it to be. Azure waters, white sandy beaches and tasteful bungalows nestling within the tree's. All staff are freindly, and if you enjoy football then the locals (resort workers); encourage you to have a game with them on the centrally located dirt pitch.
We went all inclusive, and the only complaint was that the buffet style food tended to be rather bland and mass produced, as you would expect. There are however several restaurants where a superb evening meal can be had for about $25.00.
Niggles? Sand flies during the afternoon and the dreaded mozzies during the evening, apart from that a very small slice of paradise (Kuramathi is about 1 mile long,); Would we go again? You bet!
