Holiday reviews for Kuredu

When we were looking for a perfect honeymoon destination, a friend suggested The Maldives, and I would now recommend these islands to anyone. We chose to stay on Kuredu, partly because it has water villas and partly because it's one of the livelier islands (but still quiet and laid-back compared to usual holiday destinations.); We decided to fly with Emirates as we heard negative comments about the lack of legroom with Monarch. After changing at Dubai, we then got a seaplane to Kuredu - well worth doing just for the spectacular views!

We arrived to a welcoming party and glases of orange juice, and were prompty ushered to an airconditioned mini bus which took us the the water villa side of the island. Water villas and jacuzzi villas have their own reception, restaurant and bar, but you can use any others on the island too. The water villa was amazing, we could climb down a couple of steps into the warm sea, and the sundeck had 2 sunloungers on it. When we returned from dinner on our first night, the room boy had decorated the bed with flowers which looked gorgeous - we felt guilty removing them to get into bed. He did the same on our last night too.

The sea is totally clear, and full of exotic-looking fish, none of them are dangerous, even the small sharks! The beach surrounding the island was perfectly clean and made of the finest white powdery sand we'd ever seen.

The staff on Kuredu all went out of their way to make it the best holiday we'd ever had, and the standard of food was excellent with lots of choice. There are several bars around the island with different forms of entertainment, and plenty of activities throughout the day.

All in all it was the perfect honeymoon, and we will definitely return one day.
