We?ve just arrived back from the athinoula hotel in Kefalos, Kos and I have to say we had a lovely time. Me and my boyfriend are in our middle twenty?s and was quite worried after reading some of the reviews but it turn out to be a great holiday. The hotel is basically what you pay for, the rooms are tiny and the breakfast is just a free drink and bread with butter/jam/marmalade! The friendly hotelier (Not); frank! Doesn?t speak and don?t think has every smiled, which made our holiday funny as we laughed about it but the rest of he?s family that run it are lovely! But all the doesn?t matter as the pool area is really nice and so are the people that go there, we made lots of friends, young and older and everyone loved it.
The hotel is situated at the other end of the resort from the busy part but its only a ten minute walk down, saying that there?s plenty of bars and restaurants near by. Make sure you go to Argos for fish and the Rainbow House which is the best value for money. A Great place to drink is popeyes bar and Sebastian?s which are right next to the hotel. The owner of popeyes bar will do anything for you. Also the beach is opposite from the hotel. We hired a quad for the day which I would definitely recommend and go and see all the beautiful beaches hidden away.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for all ages.
