Holiday reviews for Kefalos

This must have been our worst package holiday in 25 years. The Kordistos hotel was the pits. Our room was like a dungeon with a minimal amount of light, the bathroom was the size of a broom cupboard and the breakfast was pitiful- a roll and butter to eat. We complained bitterly but neither the tour operator or the hotel owners were prepared to do anything. One plus point Kefalos was a nice quiet and relaxing resort.

The Kordistos hotel is situated in a prime location right on the beach and about 1 kilometre away from the resort centre. For a 2 star hotel it was tremendous and you also had the option of hiring a fridge in the room which was great for drinks. Air Conditioning was also available at a cost, I think it was 5 euros a day. The basically furnished small rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathroom is typically Greek which the usual drainage problems. This is a family run hotel and the owners may you very welcome. we spent many hours relaxing around the pool and our only criticism was the continental breakfast was very small and poor.There is also a poolside bar where you can get snacks. If you want a chill out holiday we can thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel.

Nice resort, The kinda place you can ship up with your girlfriend, find your favourit taverna and relax.

The hotel is your typical simple greek hotel and thats all i wanted and expected. If you want luxury then check out the club med resort at the end of the beach. Breakfast was tea and bread which was very fresh (i cant be doing with a full english everyday); pool was ok, but the sea is only a 100 years away so use that instead.

You have to hire a car and explore more of the island, some of the tavernas in the middle of knowhere have so much charater and charm.

Dont expect night clubs and all night bars, you will get families and fun. You must take a day trip to nisiros and see the active volcano, its amazing !! anf the boat leaves from across the road from the hotel.

And.. on paradise beach check out the bubbling gasses heating the water out in the shallows, 200 yards out !! amazing too !!
