Although we read the reviews when ever we go on holiday, but we go with an open mind, knowing that everyone has different views.
Well after arriving at Doncaster airport, only to find that we were delayed for 3.5 hours it didn’t start the holiday off well, and they say bad things come in 3s, this was number 1 but what the hell settled down had a drink then a breakfast, then had a drink, then we boarded, we arrived at Palma went to get our luggage and the conveyer belt was broke number 2, it took over an hour and a quarter to get our luggage. Number 3 We had booked a private transfer by taxi to the hotel (I had already phoned resort hoppa about our late arrival they stated that they would be tracking our fight and our transfer would be there when we arrived) we went to get our taxi we were told that it would be about 20minutes so we waited for it. A cab driver came asked if we were going to Cabo Blanco we said yes followed him at break neck speed, I tried to say to him that I wanted to tell him what the hotel was called, he replied that he knew and that he didn’t need to see our transfer docs stating that they were ours. Well after another 1hr 15mins (which should have only took 10minutes) in a nightmare cab ride that took us a tour round the south east coast of Majorca, before we finally arrived at our hotel.
We checked in very quick, went to our room hoping it was what we had requested when we booked family room with pool view and we wasn’t disappointed at all room looked very nice clean bright and spacious. We put our stuff away then proceeded to the bar for a long awaited drink, yeah the drinks are in plastic cups, but when you’re drinking round the pool during the day it’s about safety who wants to walk on broken glass after glasses have been knocked over, the drinks are served in glasses after 8pm at night. There is virtually every drink you can think of even cocktails on all inclusive, all with very generous measures of alcohol. The bar staff were good in general but one was really slow always a queue when he was on duty. The kids can help them selves to soft dinks all day and there is ice cream available all day too.
The pool area was good three pools one of which has a Jacuzzi in which was turned on at various times of the day. The main pool was used for the water activities during the day. Whilst we were there was a pool day which was fantastic the animation team said that if you're round the pool you would get wet and you did, there was fun and mayhem, everyone joined in pool was full of airbeds water guns even the adults were like kids pushing the animation team into the pool, kids loved doing stuff they normally get told off for and everyone got wet whether they wanted to or not. The animation team were great they worked extremely hard keeping everyone entertained so a big thanks to them all. They not pushy at all if you don’t want to join in then they’ll leave you alone, and I’m one for not joining in just wanting to chill out round the pool but even I joined in with most of the activities during the day it was great fun. The shows at night were funny they get people involved in taking part of which I was one. We even had one of the animation team come to say good by when we were going home, Thanks Joseph.
The food in the hotel was good, yeah you may get a weird choice of food for some meals like green veg i.e. peas and green beans at breakfast but some might like that, the omelettes at breakfast were great made for you while you wait. We have been to a few all inclusive holidays before and stayed in 5 star but I would like to say that this was some of the best food we have had we have never seen salmon or roast beef and pork loin in an hotel on all inclusive before it was fantastic, I’ve never eaten so much meat in my life. There was food available all day from 8 in the morning till 11 at night, snacks were near the bar area and topped up all day (meats, breads, salads, olives, croissants, biscuits) , normally when we’ve been all inclusive before there is only fruit available at main meal times well here its all day fantastic, crisps and nut available all day too.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday don’t take any notice of the negative reviews on here, a holiday is what you make it. Yeah the hotel is a bit out of the way, but everywhere is easily accessible there’s cabs and a bus service right outside the hotel if you want to venture out. Close by there’s a supermarket if you need anything, also there are a few bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk if you want eat or drink outside the hotel.
