This is definately the place for relaxing and forgetting everything, excpet how to eat, drink, shop and have fun!
I could not find any reviews about Cala anywhere on the net so didn't know what to expect as what you see in the brochure isn't always what you get, but after staying there for a week i understand why it's surrounded in secrecy. It is a little piece of paradise, totally beautiful and unspoilt, but still with all the amenieties you could possibly need for a family holiday with kids of all ages.
Whether swimming and sunbathing on the beach or diving and snorkelling into the clear sea from the rock platforms is your thing, Cala has it all.
The beach has a cafe, beachbar and restaurant plus toilets and sunbeds for hire with views out to sea that make you think your in some far flung tropical paradise.......
There are so many supermarkets, restaurants and cafe's to chooses from, nobody could ever go hungry and it makes it especially good for those mums amongst us who like a break from the cooking. Cala also has a fish and chip shop and a couple of English pubs for those who are getting a little home sick, but my favourites were Capt Drake's beach bar and Restaurant and also Mr Beps which is signposted off the main road through Cala.
For shopping and sightseeing Cuitadella is the place to go, loads of designer shops and gorgeous little street cafes to sit at and watch the world go by, but to venture there after dark is amazing as thats when it comes alive with shoppers and the locals all mingling together and relaxing
Cala really is a beautiful place to visit and the locals are so friendly, you'll be speaking Spanish in no time!
