The Oasis Dunas apartments are beautifully designed and Ideal for families. The pool area is one of the best I have seen. Also, all the staff seemed very helpful and polite.
The apartments are fine but the cooking facilities are on the basic side (no oven, grill or microwave, just to hob rings); but are clean and well maintained.
One down side to consider is that the apartments are very hot inside, even at night and there is no air conditioning. This did not impact on my family as we went to Fuerteventura in October so after hiring fans from reception, we managed to get a good nights sleep. However if you were staying there in mid summer I can imagine that the heat in apartments would be well past what is acceptable and I really think this needs to be taken into consideration when booking at the Oasis Dunas. They also paint the pools in late September to early October which means one of them will be closed at a time and when we were there, the ?painting? had stretched to breaking up paving stoned with noisy jack hammers, which did not bother us as we are beach-goers but must have spoilt other?s enjoyment.
Some other minor observations are about Oasis Dunas are:
Yes, as other reports, the ?in-house? supermarket is a lot more expensive than the any of the other ones in Corralejo.
The club sandwich I ordered from the beach bar on the first day was singularly the worst sandwich I had ever been served in my life!
The evening entertainment put on by Oasis Dunas which we walked past as we either went out or returned from an evening out in Corralejo was hilariously bad!
Also, this complex could be described as ?Chav-Central? if you were being overly snobbish.

The beaches just outside Corralejo are the thing that makes this place. Sands from the Sahara desert have blown over and created miles of white sand dunes which are now a conservation area. These dunes fall away to the crystal clear sea, which I must say, were really unexpected and were a very pleasant surprise.
If you drive (a hired car is a good investment); out of Corralejo along the coast road and head for ?Playas Grandes?, as soon as you see cars parked on the side of the road, around 800m after driving into the dunes, you will find a beautiful stretch of un-spoilt beach next to ?flag beach surf hire? with an amazing view to Isla lobos and Lanzerote. If you need your beach a little bit better equipped, try the stretch of beach between the two large ?RUI? hotels, a bit further outside town.

Corralejo has everything that non-adventurous british types could want but it also has just about enough local culture and life to stop Independent travellers from slitting their wrists (definitely buy the Canary Islands Lonely Planet book);. It also has a vibrant Surf Scene which seems somehow makes what tourism has done to this town, a little bit easier on the eye. I would also keep out of the small Asian hi-fi shops as they don?t want to give receipts and you will have problems getting refunds if there is something wrong with what you have bought (bitter experience);.

El Cotillo is also well worth a visit for a spot of lunch over looking the sea in a sleepy fishing village.
