Holiday reviews for Matagorda

Just back from Matagorda. Second time this year. For us it is heaven, a couple aged 55 and 58. The apartments are well located, clean and very friendly. About 3 mins from the beach, the same from shops, bars and restaurants. Maragorda is flat, perfect for walking, wheather you want to exercise or just go for a stroll. there is an almost constant breeze, perfect, if you cant deal with the heat. I was there in Feb and again in Sept, so I cant speak about high season. When we were there the beach was never crowded. Lovely to walk the beach first thing and again later in the evening. Matagorda is very wheelchair friendly. With the airport just a 5 min drive away, you can watch the planes coming in and going out. If you like that sort of thing, there is a lovely walk all the way to the airport. Matagorda is close enough to Puerto Del Carmen to go there anytime you want, and far away enough to ignore if you want peace and quiet.
