Dear Joe and Marilyn,
We're back in the Netherlands, enjoying clouds and rain. Its been welcome after nearly two weeks of sunshine...
We had a great holiday in Los Gigantes and we loved the apartment. Amazed we were by the amount of kitchen-utilities, cleanliness of the place and especially the DVD's with reviews were a welcome surprise. I think we almost watched every night!
We've been diving with Andy and Neville of Los Gigantes divingcentre. Had a lot of fun there. And of course succeeded in achieving the next level after Open Water. That was actually a piece of cake and a beautiful experience. So in short, we loved Tenerife and Los Gigantes. Thanks for the good care and keep up the good work!
All the best,
Martijn

Having read Caths review I find it hard to believe we stayed in the same complex. (I still note Cath gave the place 4 stars!!); Whilst I agree with all Cath said about the Village of Los Gigantes the Penthouse Apartment we rented had absolutely everything! but we did book directly with the private owners . Not only was it private and quiet with fabulous views of the Harbour/Cliffs/La Gomera island , but also had very comprehensively equipped kitchens halogen hobs , oven toaster microwave, in fact everything you would have at home . The the gorgeous furnishings and comfy beds made our stay simply fab. Satellite tv , dvds tv radio even two hair dryers! meant that all we had to pack were our clothes! The owners also had private car parking in the basement; essential in Los Gigantes as parking places are hard to get and finally we nearly fell over to find there was a land line telephone with wireless broadband, calls were cheap and oh yes I nearly forgot ..FULL AIR CONDITIONING , 5 stars are not enough, if you are going here and want a great stress free experience (with no extras); then try these people. Los gigantes is a great place to chill and enjoy civilisation as it used to be. No Razamataz but great Fiestas! We will be back , hope you have as much fun as we did!

Beautiful place very picturesque, very clean and friendly locals. Village shuts down at midnight there are no clubs, karaoke, chip shops or discos which suited us, teenagers or young groups would be bored on an evening. Harbour was beautiful with the Friendly Dolphin harbourside serving fab breakfasts Churchills good for happy hour a euro a pint 6.00pm -8.00pm loads of fab places to eat at reasonable prices the best being the Peking II Chinese restaurant at the top of the town free house wine excellent food and great prices. Lido free for apartments is superb ice cold unheated water but spotless with a great snackbar for food & drinks there is also a seawater rock pool for snorkelling and the views from your sun lounger are A1. Apartments are very spacious but very basic forget cooking !! there are sparse utensils, an ancient cooker and no microwave/toaster but towels were replaced 5 times in a week there are 2 bathrooms massive fridge freezer & balcony but no TV all in all great for a relaxing chill out go to see Mount Teide & Masca gorge - stunning
