hotel staff very unfriendly.all inclusive waste of time,it is true one drink at a time in a plastic cup.some of the food is ok but mostly the same thing.if you have a problem they will not understand what you are talking about! i was scolded as a child and so i have always worn a t shirt over my swim suit,was told not to use the pool for our 2 week stay and if i did not like it to go to another hotel!!!! we had cockroaches in our room.the room was not clean when we went in and when cleaned the floors were still dirty.if you went for an afternoon snack,you got a really small bit of cake and had to eat it there and then,not allowed to take cake outside to eat.the rooms are very basic and one of the beds were broken.when we arrived there, there was lots of people booking in and only one man on reception and so had to wait ages,this was the same for the whole 2 weeks. they say they have a chinese restaurant on site which was never open in out 2 weeks of stay. the entertainment was rubbish, it didnt start till 11.15pm every night and the all inclusive bar shut at 11pm every night. on one occassion the all inclusive bar shut early. during our last 3 days the pool filters were not working. At night time we would go to bed in the early hours to be kept awake by people running up and down the corridoors and shouting and messing about, we were in the second block which is sopose to be quiter but it wasnt. would go to tenerife again but not back to this hotel as i would not consider this as a 3 star hotel, only a 2 star hotel. Also we had a t.v in our rooms which you had to pay for which ate your money. no air con and the fans were expensive to hire. You had to pay to use the jucussi which was 1 euro for 5 minutes. the sun beds were always taken by about 7am in the morning. was really dissapointed with our stay at the columbus.
