Holiday reviews for Mijas

Mijas costa is for any type of holiday. I went with a group of 9 people, of different ages. And there was lots for us all to do.
Mijas Costa is inbetween Marbella and Malaga. Also near fuengirola. Fuengirola is about 5 minutes drive away, good night life, shopping, zoo and much more.
Malaga and the airport are about 20 min drive away. where it is easy to hire a car with a credit card, driving licence and passport.
Mijas Costa itself is a small relaxed town, with the beach. Market on a Wednesday and Saturday, a square with many shops, restuarants and suprmarket. Actually really nice! There is lots to do, the weather seems to be always great, and I cant wait to go back!! We found our villa on espanabreaks.com, it was as advertised and perfect. Would recommend the villa and the area to anyone.

If I said our stay at this hotel was a disaster that would be an understatement. Agreed it looks fairly reasonable from the outside and the foyer is OK if you like green sofas, but that's where the good points end.

On arrival at our room we were greeted my a nasty odour coming from the bathroom. The room itself had no tea/coffee making facilities, the TV didn't work and the air-conditioning was noisy. Also the double bed sheets didn't fit the king-size bed we slept in.

We only attempted breakfast one day and soon wished we hadn't bothered. Inedible is definately the word, despite having paid for it, there was no way we were going there again. We went to the bar once and were charged 10? for two drinks. Living in Spain and being on the Euro, I know this was a total rip-off. At home I can buy a litre of Gin for less.

I have no idea how this hotel was rated a four star, I am not usually one to complain but truthfully this hotel was awful. We tried to relocate to another hotel nearby but unfortunately our luck was out as they were fully booked. I couldn't possibly recommend this hotel to anyone, if you are planning on staying there, I'd ask for a refund NOW.
