Cettia Beach Resort has reopened in April under new management. It was formerly the Art Marmaris and the reviews for this hotel were bad. When we arrived at 4.30am we had a friendly and efficient check-in by reception and a bell-boy took us and our cases to our 5th floor room, he gave us a brief introduction of the hotel on the way up on the glass lift, and explained about the door key/electricity set up in the room. Also there was an already stocked free mini-bar with water, juices and a beer, very welcome when you arrive in the middle of the night. The room was fabulous, air conditioned, fresh and clean, plush carpets, large mirrors, very comfortable beds and a small balcony, we had a side sea view. The bathroom was also of a high standard with lovely walk in shower. The maid service was daily, fresh towels and sheets. The food was excellent, we generally didn't make it in time for breakfast, but it didn't matter because the bar/grill would make you an omelette or burger etc and lunch was served at 12.30. I especially loved their soup and bread, the salads were very tasty and the hot food chicken, turkey, beef, fish (didn't like any of their fish dishes) "some kind of pastry" which was always a surprise until you cut into it, and yummy deserts. Drinks orders were taken at your table and brought to you. The hot drinks were dispensed from machines, about 10 different combinations of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, this was available at all times. Outdoors, there was a pool with lots of sunloungers and tables and chairs as well as the bar and grill. There was a water and juice dispenser and ice-cream at 3pm. Free beach towels exchanged for your beach towel token. The bit we enjoyed was the hotel's private beach with it's own jetty with sunloungers and parasols, here there was a lovely breeze, not so hot as the pool area. As the hotel had newly opened all the equipment was brand new and clean. There is a gym in the hotel but only a couple of machines. The Spa facilities are wonderful and I would highly recommend the turkish bath and massage on your first day, we paid £40 each it takes a couple of hours but thoroughly enjoyable. There is also a hairdressing salon doing everything from hair to nails and for the men a turkish shave, again very well worth it. I would recommend you use the salon and not the hairdresser directly across from the front of the hotel, they will rip you off, if you do enter, agree what treatments you are having done and a price before they start!! Beware the salon with the leopard skin labrador. All the staff in the hotel are friendly, and more than willing to make sure you get good service. On the jetty/beach you will only be approached by the salon or spa staff, they are keen to sell you their services, the entertainment staff Ozzy and Sammy, they want you to take part in the daily activities of Killer Darts, Boules and pool games and finally Gino, he represents Pasha Jewellery, also owned by the same family as the hotel and will give you a discount card for being resident in the hotel. If you want to buy some nice gold or diamond jewellery please pay them a visit at Pasha, they will not cheat you like some other jewellers, the owner Josef and his staff will give you excellent service including cleaning and polishing your own jewellery for free. Back to the hotel, there is bingo most nights and some entertainment like belly dancers, acrobats etc, on our last night there was a fabulous male/female duo that sang and played guitar wonderfully. Ozzy is your entertainment manager with Sammy ably assisting him. There were practically no childen in the hotel when we were there, really it's not the type of hotel for kids, there wouldn't be enough to keep them occupied. All in all I can't rate this hotel high enough, we thought it was just fantastic.
