    Just returned from this 5* all inc. resort boasting beautiful fountains, 5 a la carte restaurants, magnificent architecture and the "WOW" factor.
    First of all, we both had food posioning from the 4th day, the food was never piping hot which was concerning, we were eating from unclean cutlery and plates, we never saw staff who were dealing with food wear gloves and the were mostly rude, including management.

    The entertainment was terrible, waste of time. Infact we were in bed for 10pm most nights. It was very repetitive.

    The pool was small considering the grandness of the rest of the hotel, the beach was much nicer even though the company who hired the watersports made it extremely difficult for the A.I guests.

    The staff were unwilling to change us travellers cheques for us$, they would only give dom peso.

    We found the room to be adequate but dont think a hydro-massage bath and 2 seater sofa makes it 5*, well considering the bathroom taps were rocking around when being used and there were bugs in the room!

    We had to call out a doctor for my husband as he spend all day in bed shivering, the doctor prescribed anti-biotics but would not tell us what was wrong with him.
    We both took immodium most days and pepto bimol.

    To sum up this hotel only took 1 year to build and boy thre cracks are appearing already, who knows if it will still be standing next year. The people here are very poor which we felt bad about. However we paid ?3000+ for the chance to stay in a 5*luxuary resort which may I add did not get handed on a plate to us and we feel totally ripped off. We have stayed wit this chain twice in Mexico and never had these problems, all we can say is cancel now!

    p.s Just to prove we are not fussy, it was a daily occurence to hear about sickness infact when we advised the rep she pulled out a "sickness log book" like it was the done thing.
